I was all of eight when my father gave me my first camera and taught me how to develop film and make black & white prints. So I guess you could say that’s when my obsession for photography began. In college, I earned a BS in photography and education and worked teaching with many roles in education and finally for 15 of the last 33 years as a photography instructor which I enjoyed immensely.

Point is, I knew way back then that I loved making pictures and capturing the moment with a still camera. So my camera has become an appendage and is almost always with me. I enjoy watching light and how it plays on differing subject matter. My favorite thing to capture?... people. I love making connections and capturing the essence of a subject and showing them in a truly human light. I hope that you like what you see on my site and that you’ll let me know what you think.
